Lower Steering Shaft Assembly Problems on 1985 Chevy S-10 Blazer
I am having trouble finding information on how to remove the bottom coupler on the steering shaft of my 1985 Chevy S-10 Blazer. I looked in Chilton and Haynes guides, but it shows no real information or pictures on how to disassemble the lower shaft from the intermediate shaft to remove the coupler. Does the lower shaft slide inside the intermediate shaft so you can replace the coupler on the lower shaft, or is there another process? If anyone knows of a link or have pictures or even step-by-step instructions of how to complete the project I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

I never did one nor do my manuals show much...but if you live near a auto salvage yard and if it's not too hard to reach into the area in ? maybe they would let you disassemble a wrecked one..you'll gain the knowledge you need and if the front end is already twisted on the wreched one they may not care...
