popping noise
I have a 97 chevy k1500, and sometimes when moving slowly and turn my wheel all the way to the left I will here a slight pop, sounds like it might be coming from my right front wheel well any suggestions before I rip it apart.

Re: popping nooise
A few years ago I drove my sister's Mercury stationwagon and had the pop noises turning, I stopped by the car to car tire center on my way to work. They replaced the "axle" for under $180 and I was out of there under 1 hour. My local paper advertises axle replacement for $200 and don't pay more.

One thing I did forget to mention is it is a 4 wheel drive and just had the cv boots replaced on that side. I will look into the axle problem thanks

Re: popping nooise
Check to see if the steering stops are dry. There is a bolt that rubs and makes a popping sound. Just put some grease on the stop were it hits and that should stop the noise.
