condensation in headlamp lens assembly
What is the best, cheepest, and easiest way to remedy headlight condensation on the Malibu? Drill a pinhole? [if so, where?] Reseal with silicone?
Thanks, John |

Both headlight lenses on my '98 LS were replaced by the dealer free, since it was covered by a TSB. That was 4 years ago, tho.
My '04 Maxxes' lenses leaked a bit during Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne, so maybe I'll be doing it again. Although, I haven't seen them leak any other time. |

Re: condensation in headlamp lens assembly
You could apply some silicon but the best way to fix the problem is to buy new "gaskets" (i cant think of what they are called right now). You could go to your local auto shop and pick some up, or try ebay.

On my '98 Malibu I just pull the headlight assembly out, remove the bulbs and use a hair dryer to dry out inside the assembly. Removal of the headlamp assembly is easy, just pull up on the plastic tabs. Handle the bulbs by the base only; don't touch the glass.
