oil filter on '62 chevy pickup, 6 cyl

Restoring 1962 chevy pickup, 235 cu. in. 6 cyl, "Blue Flame" engine. Where's the oil filter? I've looked all over, Were they external? Could it be missing? Engine runs, but I don't see any oil filter.

Are you asking me, WTF I'm doing in this forum? I don't use that kind of language. I'm just including that phrase so you will be sure that it's you I'm responding to. I just asked a question, I thought that I would be talking to folks that enjoyed autos and repairing them, that's all. No reason to be upset. I just hoped to gain some knowledge from folks who probably know a lot more about engines and cars than I do. I appreciate your response, but it really does'nt answer my question. If you know anything that might apply to my question, I'd appreciate your input.
