Blower switch or motor not working HELP!!!
I need some help quick! My daughter has an '00 rodeo, and the blower switch quit working recently. For a while, it would turn on sporadiacally, and that has changed to NEVER. The ac and heat blows fine when it does come on. Is my problem in the (1 2 3 4) switch settings in the dash or is it in the blower itself? Has anyone experienced this problem? With winter setting in and no heat to warm up or clear windshield, it is undriveable! I switched her '00 black with my '00 tan rodeo, so i could fix the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

do any of the dash lights come on? (specifically the fuel, brake and battery lights) I had a problem with my AC blower motor and those three lights would come on. If this is your case check the back of the alternator. There should be a plastic harness that goes in back there. Mine was broken and when I replaced it the problems went away.

blower switch or motor not working HELP!!!
No I haven't had problems with any lights coming on or anything else not working. The vehicle is running as normal, except the blower will not come on when the dash switch is moved to 1-2-3-4. I checked the two a/c fuses under the dash(15amp mini's) and the (ac) fan 30 amp. I also swapped the (ac) fan circuit with the head light one and the ac fan circuit ran the headlights but the headlight one did not run the fan. So i feel like all my fuses and circuits are operating. I was hoping a circuit had just finally stuck together and needed replacing, but that would have been too easy. Now I am leaning towards the dash switch having gone bad. DEALER ITEM of course, unless a junkyard one will work. Any other ideas? Thanks for the help.

Check your resistor pack/board. This is what regulates the blower speeds. Typically the blower just works on *high* when this goes bad, but it's worth a look anyway. Trace where the blower speed control wires go. This will lead you to the resistor board. It's usually mounted partially inside the blower duct for cooling purposes.

I have power coming to the blower, and after back-probing the blower to a ground, the blower still doesn't run. According to Haynes Manual, if it doesn't run then, its a faulty blower. So I'm taking my blower out of my rodeo and trying it in hers. Will let everyone know the result, and maybe it will help someone else down the line, trying to troubleshoot their problem.

I replaced her blower with my blower, and everything is fine (wih hers that is). Now daddy has to go buy him a new $145 blower from St Charles Isuzu. Thanks for the help.
