Help !!!how do i change the front brake on 2001 escape
I have change break on Honda and explorer I notice that the escape is different then most of the car. I need some instruction on how to do my own brake job on 2001 ford escape. On my 99 explorer all I need to do is remove 2 screws for brake pad change and 2 more if I want to take out the roller. But the on escape I notice there is no screw (section 2 in photo) just some plastic thing. There are screws in section 1 but I don’t think I need to remove that for the brake change.

if you just want to do pads - take out the 2 allen head screws #1 and pull you anti rattle spring out of the caliper (the big spring on the outside of the rotor) then just pull the caliper off - the screw #2 if to remove the caliper mount to replace the rotors
