radio code

I lady I know said her CD player doesn't work and comes up with a 20 and 23 code on the screen. What does this mean? Its a 99 Grand Am. Thanks

The laser on the cd player may need to cleaned. I'm not overly familiar with radio codes. That would be my first guess though, especially if she drives in dusty areas like gravel roads.

She's already run the cleaner thru the player. She thinks the code 20 means it needs cleaned, but the 23 code she doesn't know. Thanks for the input.
