speedometer wont work and transmission wont shift

after replacing the high pressure hose on the power steering, the transmission wont shift and the speedometer wont work. Could I have messed up something electrical. Everything worked fine before I replace the line.

Re: speedometer wont work and transmission wont shift

the vehicle speed sensor is on the passenger side top of the transaxle, and could easily have gotten unplugged while changing that hose.

I wonder if there isn't a fuse blown or an ignition switch problem. Trans fuse maybe? Does it feel like its in third gear, you should be able to manually shift with the shifter into first and second
