I just noticed that my newly purchased '97 Civic doesn't have an air filter at the end of the CAI system. It does however, have breather filters connecting to the piping. Is there any reason for not having an air filter or is this a part I need to get on there a.s.a.p.?

Re: No Air Filter
I'd be worried that it would suck up dirt and such, especially being a CAI and being in your wheel well.

Re: No Air Filter
Thanks for the quick replies. Filter purchased and installed. Also took the time to uninstall all those little breather filters under the hood and reconnect all the hoses so I wouldnt be sucking in any hot air.
