Progress Hasegawa Lancia Rally 037 T. de corse '84

Hello this is my first post here, sorry if my english isn't that good. i'm italian and i'm not a modeling freak like almost anyone here, this is my first attempt to make a model and i've many things to learn, first of all to paint better
there are some low-res/low-light photos (sorry, i'm capturing with a camcorder)

most difficult part, self made front tubular structure, made by metal and spaghetti. i've added radiator tubes and coil springs too

the car body, not finished yet

the engine, with self made part of tubular structure here too and some tube added

bye

You used noodles to build that?! Won't that stink after a while?

Well, it's looking good

thanks to all, however spaghetti dosn't stink until they're not cooked especially if painted
i used them because here we haven't plasticard tubes (i know, in USA they've a different name but i don't know it, they're from evergreen i guess), but only to do four parts. to do the rest i killed this

bye!

Forza Italia!
Welcome to AF, if this is your first ever model I feel ashamed of myself and what I can accomplish. It looks downright beautiful. Spaghetti is a new one....never heard of anyone using this in modeling If you want to lay your hands on styrene stock check this out http://www.plastruct.com a bit hard to navigate their site but they have all sorts of plastic profiles and plain sheets in different thickness to. Now I'm even more determind to pick up my stalled 037-project, I have the '83 Monte Carlo winner. After seeing two of these fabolous cars here on AF in just a short time I'm begining to feel an itch for it again.

Keep it up and show me your progress
Niclas

CADGuy your avatar looks like Mastro Lindo... in USA you have the same pavement detergent? thank you

styrene yes i heard of it, thanks for the site!
i think 037 it's a very fascinating car, it's worth the time to add some missing part and complete this pretty limitated kit. unfortunately it hasn't the photoetched parts included, this is really bad! i'll not buy theme

bye!

Hello Toxic, welcome to AF!
Fabulous and very inventive work on your Lancia. Will look forward to seeing more of it.

P.S. I moved this thread to the motorsports section.

affixed the hutch, hinges are simply two pieces of an inkjet cartridge envelope, not looking so good but it works (can't buy nothing better for now)
