Making Progress

Silverstar upgrade(with 65 watt high-beam in the low-beam position) turned out great! Very happy with it. Trans fluid and filter change tomorrow, and ordering Magnaflo muffs and tips next week. Anyway, I highly recommend the headlights as well as the foglights. Coupons and rebates saved $$.

Re: Making Progress

i ran the standard bulbs in my car... would the high's be worth the money to spend on new silverstars? (keep in mind i'd end up with a useless pair of $40 bulbs)

I've read that there's not as much improvement over the regular bulbs as there is with the high or low beams.

I don't think Silverstars come in yellow - I checked the Sylvania website.
But other people sell yellow bulbs #893 which will fit.
I don't know how good they are though . . .

Re: Making Progress

i bought a pair of fog light bulbs at a shop around here that are just as good looking as the silverstars... they have a very subtle violet or blue tint at certain angle... i have a pic if anyone wants to see the front

It still seems strange to me, white bulbs in a fog light and you can't have just the fogs on alone.

SublimeZ31,
Yup for the pics, just tell us where
