Question Seating Position...

How do you have your seat positioned?? I find myself with everything raised the highest it can go. I'm 5'7, so i need the height. These cars have the natural "cockpit" type of seating-like most sports cars (corvette comes to mind) but i cannot stand that. For me, i don't feel 100% driving when i'm in that cockpit type of position, yeah it's more comfortable, but i like to have a big view of the road. It just feels more natural to me sitting higher-having a good view out the front.

Maybe it's cause i'm used to "non-cockpit" type cars that i had before, like a 92 ford escort..88 chrysler lebaron gts etc..

Re: Seating Position...

Same here.I like to have a nice big view of the road ahead.I also like to see the reflection of the hood after I just detailed it.Not to mention it feels more safe as the higher position makes me feel like im more alert to everything around me.

Re: Seating Position...

More of a bucket style, rear of the seat all the way down, front up a couple inches, seat back all the way forward. But being 6'2", I need the headroom. Plus, I cannot stand flat bottom, straight up seat back, bench style seats in car. In a truck they are fine because the seats are higher off the floor and give adequate leg support.

Re: Seating Position...

my seat is all the way back, and all the way down on all settings (the rear setting has to be set last cuz if I press the front setting down it raises the back... ya know?), and the backrest is leaned back about 2 inches from the backseat. I'm 6'8. If I had the seat raised all the way up I could drive with my head out the sun roof. SERIOUSLY!!! about the truck thing, yeah i agree. If you look in my car the drivers seat looks like its laying down, but thats just how I am most comfortable in it. you should put your seat like I said mine is, and take a look from outside the car... its unbelieveable that I sit in it like that but I do.
