Last June, I had to have my catalytic converter replaced because the inside rotted out. The symptoms were loss of power on kickdown and going up hill. Finally, it was totally rotted out and the car would not move any longer.
Now I'm have the same prelimanary symptoms as before. This is really not normal. The gas at the station I fill up was tewted and was fine. Anyone out there had the same problems? Thanks Last edited by papanots; 11-21-2004 at 07:07 AM. |

did you have the exhaust replaced from converter back when the old converter blew out? that is a likely reason of the loss of power, the exhaust behind the converter is probably clogged, you should have had the exhaust replaced from converter back when you blew the old converter out.
