Pacesetter Monza Downpipe?

Hi, I have a 90 Talon TSI AWD Turbo, and im looking in to buying the Pacesetter Monza downpipe. I can pick up a brand new 3" for $150 from my friend. The only problem is that I dont know if its gonna fall apart in a day. It looks nice, its creamic coated so it stays cool, and its 3" with a flex section so i dont think i can go wrong with the flow. if anyone has one let me know what you think of it. Actually if anyone is using any pacesetter product let me know cause i want to see if its going to be of good quality. Thanks for the help.

Re: Pacesetter Monza Downpipe?

...it's a metal pipe...I don't see it falling apart.

If it is a one piece pipe, then the only things you should worry about are:
1) is it aluminized or stainless steel?
2) is it press or mandrel bent?

Mandrel, and stainless are better--mandrel for flow, stainless for durability and anti-rust. If it looks to be in good shape, go for it. Just know the answers to these two questions, and if you're satisfied, I doubt that the downpipe will fail you

Re: Pacesetter Monza Downpipe?

Pacesetter is known for rusty exhaust, but I think the DSM downpipes are just fine. I run aluminized ehxuast on my car (home made) and after 2 years its rusty but its still the tits. If you are worried about corrosion just hit it with some black high temp barbeque paint or other reuptable high temp paint (most suck, find a known good one).
