1994 Probe SPL

Hey...i'm bored, and was just playin some intense bass and was curious as to what spl i'm getting. I mean my whole car rattles, the body flexes, the steering wheel moves a alot, and my hair moves allllot. I have 4 13kv.2's on a nine.1. A Pioneer 7500mp HU. 7.236 cubic foot box, at 28hz. Some people have said probably 155db. I dont have a meter...so yea. Also, my trunk is dynamated if that helps any.

Re: 1994 Probe SPL

maybe 145

if you tuned the box higher and got more power you might be in the 150's, but I wouldn't expect it on the new mics with 4 budget 12's in a 28hz box.

I can do a 142 on the new mics... with your kind of tuning a 143-146

Re: 1994 Probe SPL

are you using hearing protection in your car? i cant stand people who listen to their systems that actually get over the threshold of pain with out hearing protection. its like WHY IN GODS NAME WOULD YOU DESTROY YOUR EARS WHILE CAUSEING YOURSELF PAIN IN THE PROCESS....ive hear a 153.2dB burp....no hearing protection. never will do that agian. my ears where ringing for hours, it was very painfull, my ears went into overdrive on the ear wax and i ended up with drainage, and for about 5min afterwards i could barely walk because of my ears being thrown for such a loop.

Re: 1994 Probe SPL

153 is loud but definately bareable. I can take up to about 152 or so for a while. Instant 159 (loudest i've heard) was about my limit....It hurt pretty bad and it was only a short burp.
