muffler question

i was just wondering what the sound dampener actually did. also, should i go with or without the dampener?

makes it a bit quieter, and kills whatever few hp you may have gained. Keep it off, unless the noise gets annoying or the cops give you problems.

get a resinator fram magnaflow. they are very well designed, and dont kill any noticable HP.
