A few days ago I noticed my fuel and temp gages were reading zero. I checked the fuse listings in the owner's manual, then physically checked the fuses at each side of the front door, but all seemed OK. About the same time I noticed the problem with the panel gages I noticed the A/C wasn't putting out cold air. The A/C indicator light is on. I can't say whether the problems are connected or not.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what's wrong and how to fix it? Or has anyone else had this problem. Thanks. |

Sorry, I didn't mention this is a 1998 Cutlass.

Problem solved!
I found a similar problem in the Chevy Malibu forum which led me to the A/C fuse (#37) in the motor compartment fuse block.

Re: Fuel & temp gages inop
check the fuse as ratwizard suggested, if that doesn't work, check your grounds, as you may have a common ground for all those things.

Re: Fuel & temp gages inop
check your sensor above your water pump. Looks like brass spark plug. If there is two its the one on the left....
