Engine Noise on 99 1500

ok heres the annoyence. i have a 99 ram 1500 and when ever i start it in the morning before school or when its cold out side the engine sounds horrible. its a kinda of squeeling sound and it annoys the hell outta me. my girlfriend has the same truck and hers does it everyonce in awhile so im not sure if its a dodge thing or i need to do somethign to mine

Sounds like I have the same prob with my 01. Took it to the dealer and left it out over night and it didnt do it for them. They told me they couldnt see any thing and hadnt heard of it before. Keep me posted if you find anything out.

alrite....well if u want to go back there and tell them 2 leave it outside over night and se wut happens becuz i live in houston and its always humid so that mite be a reason

I'd think if you have alot of miles on the truck and never replaced the serpentine belt, you might have some noise from there.

lol i wish that was the case but the truck doent even have 40k cuz the guy i bought it from jus towed with it...:'(

I`ve had a belt tensioner seize up on my voyager. It quit moving to take up slack in the belt. so belt would squeel and I would loose power steering when hitting a water puddel. I would check out the tensioner.
