can you change one into an impala?
Ok, i was reading a magazine, and this girl said she bought a 95 caprice classic, changed the interor, the grille, and the emblims, and it is the same as an impala....
Is this true, and is that all that needs to be done? |

Probably. The differences between the '94-96 Caprices and '94-96 Impala SS were very minor. In fact, many people do convert their Caprices to Impala SS's, but my question is what is the point? If its a Caprice, whats wrong with it being a Caprice, especially if its a police package? We don't all need to have Impalas and Impala clones. I'd take my 90 police package Caprice any day over an Impala.

Re: can you change one into an impala?
It would be esentially simular, visually. But not the same. The bumpers strips are color matched w/o the faux stainless steel strip. As are the wheels, springs, rear axle, etc are different. By the time you drop the time and money, you have bought an Impala that is worth a fourth of what an Impala SS is worth. And your also a wannabe. There is nothing wrong with owning a Caprice. Be creative and come up with your own design. I have seen Caprices that I like better than Impalas. The end result however is that it is your car, and you can do what ever pleases you.
