Body Kit

I've noticed body kits for my 96 GA SE are rather expensive compared to those for other cars. So my question is, is there a body kit for another car that will fit a Grand am with very little modification if any??

thank you,
Daniel

Re: Body Kit

Nevermind, I forgot how the front bumper looks. Sorry to waste time and space.

Re: Body Kit

I know you backed out of this post, but what do you consider expensive for a kit? I've seen some good body kits in the 600-800 dollar range for your GA. And that is pretty comparable to others. The only problem with body kits, is they are not painted when you get them, and they are not always ready to be painted either. That incurs a cost which could get pretty high. Unless you can do the work yourself. My buddy put on a cool kit for his '97 GA. He paid US$800. They had to do a little bit of prep work on it though. I've posted "before and after" links below. If you go to his site you can also take a look at some of the work involved in prepping the car for the kit. HTH

Here's a link to the kit I'm putting on mine next spring. I have a 4dr, I'm keepin the stock spoiler mind you.

Re: Body Kit

I have all the necessary tools and equipment to put one on and I can even do repair if needed. My older bro. has an 01 dodge neon and he can find body kits for half the price of the ones for my GA. I guess its cause body kits are rare for a GA. I wish mine could look like the ones in the pic.

Yeah the reason that the bodykits for grand am's are so high are because of the rareness. The rest of the cars have many competitors so they have to step it up on cutting deals on them. I just recently bought a body kit for my 97 grand am from Andys Auto. Like you said tho you will need to do repairs..and if you can fit it by yourself that will save you some money also. Luckily, I have a cousin who helped me because it was for senior project.
