NEW: 2007-2008 Mitsubiti Lancer Evolution X (10) AWSOME!!

Well... I was looking in the magazine area in walmart and I picked up the Fall issue of Road & Track SPEED magazine, and I was looking through it and I found some info that Mitubishi is putting out, in 2007 to 2008, a Lancer Evo X (10). Here's the scoop...

The "X" stands for ten (10). and yes, another generation of the sporty 4-door sedan is in the works. Mitsubishi released a rough rendering of how the Evo X may appear, and we took it one step further
to see how the finished product would look. The X will have much rounder edges, but with an aggressive face that's instantly recognizable as the Evo's. The car will envolve mechanically as well, with a new turbo charged inline-4 and a new all-wheel drive system, which will allow the torque to be individually split, for each wheel. We don't know what's in store for the engine exept that it will have MIVEC (Mitsibishi's variable valve and lift system) and be turbocharged. Power should be in the neighborhood of 300 bhp. When the Evo IV, set out early next year, the ten probably won't be out unil about 2007 or later. The price of this exciting 4-door pocket-rocket should stay at about $30,000. ...but then again it is only a concept. According to that source, the engine will be up at 329hp which would be nice in the base model for the evo 10.

The IX looks nice, and very similar to the VIII, but I don't like the X. I like the new STI better.

I thought Mitsubishi was trying to save their company from bankruptcy, then they make that monstrosity and call it an Evo X... I don't like the IX as much as I like the VIII's looks, but the IX looks like the evolution of the Evolution (pun not intended). For Mitsubishi's sake I hope they don't release the X in that body style.

i realy hope that for the companys sake they dont realease that mostrosity. everything looks out of preportion, the spoiler, the headlights, the rims and tires, even the windows, especaly the spoiler tho, look at the lines of the car, they almost look ok, untill you see the wing, a swoopy car with a box wing on the back, and giant grill. looks like somthign that would come if a celica, a honda crx, and a old evo mated, its horrible. personal opinion tho, not meaning to offend anyone of course

I think the X looks better than any other EVO. It's more "sleek" looking than all of the other Evo's. The other one's look to "boxy". I think it look's awsome! It's on my christmas list.

The XI is supposed to have all of the VIII MR's revisions as standard features. Hopefully Mitsubishi has something else up their sleeve.

With all '05 STis getting the improved chassis taken from the STi Spec C, and the yaw sensor addition to the DCCD, Subaru is starting to catch up.
