Couple motor pics
As some of you know, I am doing a 454 swap into my 71 nova. Well last night I finally got the motor to run for the first time. We didn't have the exhaust hooked up, so we were running it through open headers but even then this motor is LOUD. I ran my smallblock with open headers before I took it out, and there is seriosuly no comparison. The motor carried a little over 100 pounds of oil pressure at startup, and since we were only shooting for 80 pounds, we were all pleasantly shocked that It carried that much. The motor below is the one we put in the car
And this is just a pic of the slicks I bought for the car. Mickey Thompson ET Drags, 26/10/15 I will try to get more pictures up shortly. We still have to put the radiator, trans cooler, get an alternator bracker, and put a new dentent cable on the tranny before we can drive it . Well, I was just excited so I thought Id share. Rob

Thanks.. I would have also liked to gone the 427 way just to be a little different, but im not a real big fan of shorter stroke motors. Nice car in your sig by the way. My uncle has a 73 Firebird with a 455 in it. Well thanks
