Unhappy '92 Toyota Camary won't start

I jumpstarted my camry this morning and at every stop sign it acted like it wanted to cut off. I purchased a new battery for it and now it wont even start. I have no dashboard lights and the bell doesnt sound off when I open the driver side door. My headlights and turning signals work. My son tested the new battery and the old one and both are fine. (Waste of money). What could be wrong?

possible problems

it sounds like you may have a problem with the alternator. Your computer isnt getting enough juice to power all the sensors and so forth. When you jumped it , there is a slight chance you might have also damaged the computer. The first thing before you start trouble shooting is to make sure the contacts on the battery cables are correctly grounded and non corroded.
