Unhappy 91 F-150 Fuel Tank Problem

Hey guys,

I have a 91 F-150 and the front tank will not work. I've read several other treads about this problem, but I have a couple of problems that may be linked to the same part malfunction. When the front tank was working, the fuel from the front tank would leak to the rear and overflow. Now I can't run on the front tank at all. As soon as you push the selector switch, the motor dies. Could this all be because the tank selector valve is bad or do I have more than 1 problem??? Any help in this matter would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Are you sure you have a selector valve? Some were mechanical.

You have a bad fuel tank selector valve.
