97 mark headlights

Hello, I have a 97 mark VIII with the HID headlights. One of the low beams has failed, the dealer wants nearly $1000,00 to fix it. My question is, is thas what I should expect to pay and do I have any alternatives? In advance thank you.

No alternatives that I am aware of. The cheapest guy in the country for these is Max at 5 Star Ford in Arizona.

You can buy a headlight from a junk yard or body shop. Make sure it is tested I could have got one with the ballast for only 250 gauranteed working. You also need to make sure the ballast is in working condition or the bulb will just burn out agian.
