Re: Wide Body Kits

I remember seeing at least 2 types of wide body kits for a Del Sol. Just keep looking... even check Ebay.

Also if I can't find one, how would you make your own. I have seen a few people do it.

Re: Wide Body Kits

You can customize a wide bodykit from another car on to your car. To create one from scratch involves alot of work... and if you have no experience with fiberglass, then this project would be way to advance.

If I custom fit another wide body kit, what car should the kit be made for? If I made it myself, how would I make it?

Re: Wide Body Kits

1-10 on a difficulty level... making your own kit is a 10. Modding an existing kit from another car on to your car would be at a level 9. If you dont even know whats involved in doing it.. I would totally recomend against trying it yourself. If you even attempted it... a body shop would probably end up charging you more to fix and clean up your work. Have someone do it otherwise you'll be wasting alot of time and money.

To have an idea of how much work it could be. Here is a link that SiverY2Kcivic shared with me that has pictures of some extremely good profesionals doing a NSX into an Enzo. Look at how they do the wide body. I have experience.. and I would think twice before trying it.

Only one word can describe that... damn. That is crazy. The job seems a tid bit more intimidating. I know it depends on the shop and how good there work is and everything, but how much do you think it would cost to have them make a custom wide body kit?

The price will be based on various things. From the shop, the workers, the time, the city its in, the state its in, when its done. It'll vary so your best bet would be to go check out your local shops and ask them yourself.

I think thats FAR from a ricer! They basically built a kit car version of the Enzo using an NSX as the base. Normally, I would agree and say.. dont pretend to be a different car.. but something done at this level is just amazing.

Look at how much work they did. The skill it takes to do what they did is insane! To make it even crazier... they paint the car BLACK! Black is the most unforgiving color. One little blemish... one little mistake would stand out like a sore thumb. I think they took this project beyond any "car mod" and put it at a much higher level of art. I have never been so impressed.

First of all this guy calling some one a ricer is a joke!! He started a thread asking how to change his oil. Anyone who has a picture in their sig of their biggest performance mod, and it is a cold air intake has no right to call some one a ricer. And a NSX by definition could never be considered a ricer! Don't criticize someone when you don't even know how to change your own oil!!!

Re: Wide Body Kits

is it wrong to ask a question in a forum? i think not. is it wrong to sarcastically criticize something as jaw dropping as that? and im sorry that im poor and cant afford those high horsepower mods that everysinge member of this forum has to have or else they arent worthy of posting in a forum, i know plenty about my car to help others and thats why i post here, i get help and give help, and to make sarcastic comments about how a wide body nsx that looks fucking awesome is a ricer, comprende compadre?

Re: Wide Body Kits

It didnt sound sarcastic... but w/e.

Just dont throw the word "rice" around so easily... it can be very offensive. Now no more talking about this.
