Hi,
For the bast month or so I am hearing this beeping sound while i am driving. It beeps 3 times then it stops (its not constantly, but it comes up everytime i turn on the engine). Yesterday while i was waiting for the traffic light, my engine died, the RPM stalled to 0. Happend few times, but only while i was standing in neutral, not while driving. My father is telling me it might be the fuel filter... But what does that beeping sound mean. I just hope everything is fine with the engine. Can anyone help me on this one? Thx in advance BTW, my beemer is a 1995 318i |

Re: Engine dies when in neutral + beeping sounds
the 'beeping' is liking the 37 degree F road ice warning if it's that cold out, if not your sensor's gone if the temp display sez "-34'".
the stalling @ idle won't be the fuel filter. the most common cause is a broken 'breater hose'. |
