Re: Hot exhaust

Exhaust is hot by the very nature of it on any car, CamAros not excluded. What makes you think it's running rich?

The exhast manafold reached up 400degF and the exhast from the tail pipe around 285 to 350degF. It just seems to be putting of allot of heat. Is this normal?

Re: Hot exhaust

I have no idea what it should be but it does sound like u may have a clogged cat. Any drop in performance lately? or rotten egg smell?

Re: Hot exhaust

Then I dunno, if you search around you can find the temps somewhere on an old thread... I don't remember them offhand.

Being a newbe, thanks for the support. I believe I am close from other info I have researched. I still believe I'm running rich due to the computer not going inot closed loop mode after warm up (see computer contol). This could be why it seems to be a little hotter than normal.

Thanks!
