For quite some time my steering wheel buttons have completely failed on my 1995 740i. Thes dealer says that the "multi-function steering wheel module" needs to be replaced.
Anyone else have this problem and any feedback on the best way to fix the problem? Thanks for your assistance- I appreciate it! XXMRCXX_95_740i Joliet, IL Black 1995 740i w/ 113K mi. |

Yeah, I bet a "multi-function steering wheel module" from the dealer costs a small fortune.
I'd suggest you check the fuses yourself. My 1993 740iL has a set of fuses in the engine bay and another set under the back seat with the battery. I know on the E38s they moved the battery to the trunk but I don't about the Rear Power Distribution Box, which has the fuses and some relays. Anyway, find that box and check the fuses there as well. Other than that, check on the E38 link provided here: http://www.e38.org/ |
