Angry Failed Steering Wheel Buttons on E38

For quite some time my steering wheel buttons have completely failed on my 1995 740i. Thes dealer says that the "multi-function steering wheel module" needs to be replaced.

Anyone else have this problem and any feedback on the best way to fix the problem?

Yeah, I bet a "multi-function steering wheel module" from the dealer costs a small fortune.

I'd suggest you check the fuses yourself. My 1993 740iL has a set of fuses in the engine bay and another set under the back seat with the battery. I know on the E38s they moved the battery to the trunk but I don't about the Rear Power Distribution Box, which has the fuses and some relays. Anyway, find that box and check the fuses there as well.
