Question Clear coating on clear plastic

quick question from the newbie
I gave my 93 Subaru impreza a clear coat and then attached the clear plastic windows after. I feel I need to put on another coat of clear.. can one clear coat over clear plastic??
Does Tamiya sell clear coat in ready to use spray can?
I find mixing clear coat and thinner and using the airbrush is a hit and miss process I am getting fustrated with!!!!!!:flash:

check out my first modelling project ....Brabham diorama

Yes, I believe it's TS-13. Be careful if you're using with Tamiya spray paints though!! Regular tamiya spraypaints and TS-13 have different curing rates. The Tamiya clear cures and hardens much faster than regular Tamiya spray paints. As a result, escaping gas from the underlying color coat will cause your clear coat to crack!!

Also, if you're using an airbrush, go to the local supermarket (food market), go to the Cleaning supplies section, and pick yourself up a bottle of Future Floor Finish! This stuff is great! It's thin enough to airbrush straight from the bottle, self-levels, and dries in one day! You also get 27 oz's of the stuff for 6 bucks

Hrm, actually on second thought, you live in Sweden so you won't find it under the "Future" brand name. I believe it's called either SC Johnson & Johnson Floor Finish, or Klear or something like that.

In fact, here's an excerpt from an online guide:

Quote:
In the end I carefully dip the whole part in Future Floor Wax (or Johnsons Floor Wax for plastic floors, as it is called here in Sweden) and let it dry overnight. The result is short of a miracle: the canopy usually ends up so shiny and transparent that it's hard to believe that it is the same part! I recommend you to try it one day!
Hope this helps!
