Talking 2002 Civic Si vs. Trans Am

So im driving down to the town where I just moved from to visit some friends and i drive through the lovely town of Sylvania, basically the road is a bypass type of road 4 lanes and a couple red lights. I come to a red light and im sitting there minding my own business and a '00 (I think it is around that year model) trans am comes pulling up next to me, this thing is loud, looks nice, sounds great and he starts reving his engine. Im not usually one to race on a public road but i figured theres no one out, ill just get my ass kicked and it will be a little fun to get the adreneline going. So the light turns green and we both start going, he is flying past me making me wish i had a rope tied to the back of his car just to keep up and when he goes to shift into 3rd i hear his engine hit the rev limit, he shifted into 1st on accident. So I can now say my roughly 160hp civic si beat a trans am its cheap but ill take it any way i can get it!

Hey, a kill is a kill. I know the feeling that TA driver had first hand when I seriously botched a launch, and lost (embaresingly so) to a bone stock auto Civic four door, lol. Good kill, and remeber, on the street, anything can happen!

Re: 2002 Civic Si vs. Trans Am

It had a rev limiter... so it couldn't have been horrible, not good, but not catistrophic

Re: 2002 Civic Si vs. Trans Am

not only did it hit the rev limiter it went he put into 1st gear. which at least squeaked the tires but the engine was at a high rpm already which can only make things worse.

Re: 2002 Civic Si vs. Trans Am

Civics Rule!!!! Yess. Another win for the imports!!! LOL. J/K, I better get outta here before I get my ass kicked. LOL. Nice job, a kill is truly a kill, no matter what happens. As soon as you start a race, anything goes from there on. Late...
