'95 Neon with codes 27 & 43

My neon has been coming up with the codes 27 (injector #1, 2, 3 or 4 control circuit) and 43 (single or multiple cylinder misfire). I took it into a mechanic 2 months ago and they said I had a bad #2 fuel injector and I had them replace that injector. The car ran fine for about a month and started acting up the same way again. I took it back to the mechanic (the same codes came up again) and this time they told me I had bad plugs and wires (I just replaced them before I had the injector replaced). So I replaced them and the car started doing the same thing before I even got out on the street. The #2 plug was fouled very black. I checked the plugs and found the #2 plug was fouled already and it didn't even have 25 miles on it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: '95 Neon with codes 27 & 43

I don't know about the code 27 but was recently getting the code 43. The electrical connector to my ignition coil pack was bad which caused the connection to be loose. I had to replace the coil pack and haven't had a problem since.

Thanks Skate and Kecky. My car has been running fine since 11/19/04 and I haven't done anything to it yet. Skate, I don't think it is my timing belt, but Kecky you could be right with the ignition coil pack. I'm going to wait until it acts up again and check that out. It will probably act up when I am driving to my sister's for Thanksgiving. lol
