My first attempt and pure concept

Greetz All! This is my first attempt there is more I want to learn but when it hits you it hits you. I call her "42nd Street" a concept hotrod based on a 42' something I just made it up as I went. I free hand the outline with pencil on paper then scanned her in a completed the detail work, the brakes and rotors, in PS7.

Thanks

Re: Re: My first attempt and pure concept

Yeah I was trying to make it look like a 30 stage paint job clear coat and all. I supposed if I added a reflection that could help? Well my next attempt will be at a 3/4. Thanks for the comments more are welcomed.

Re: My first attempt and pure concept

It looks good, but maybe a little more value in the middle of the car....Just a suggestion though. If you like it, keep it. I have screwed stuff up by doing this or that to it, untill this or that screwed it. So yeah, just leave it and start a new piece...

Re: My first attempt and pure concept

Looks good to me.

Remember to do your coloring and shading and stuff on a layer other than your lineart layer. That way if you feel like you messed up you can always create a new layer and start again.

PS also has a history pallet. It's a great way to go back to where you were happy and pick up from there. If you save the History pallet starts over so on ocassion use the History pallet and take a snapshot. That way you can always go back a few steps and then come forward again.

All this digital stuff is making me very happy. Lots of nice work up here.
