wow, i must be lucky with speeding tickets

in the past 2 months, cops have had 3-4 opportunities to pull me over, and i know they had gotten me on radar.

Twice was back when i was in the camaro, campus speed limit is 25, and campus police is strict at UAH. If you go 26 they'll get you. Once i was coming around a corner at around 35-40 and bam, there he was taking radar, as i slammed on my brakes, i watched his reactions . . . just stayed put. Next time i was on campus again, and i was doing 35 on a straight away, and he was hiding out in dorms parking lot, and bam got me as i slammed on the brakes. Well, this time the campus cop got in his car and pulled behind me, but didnt throw on his blues. I got to the 3-way stop sign and made sure i came to a complete stop, put might right turn signal on and turned and did not go above 25. I did not want to give him any reason just in case. Well, he continued to follow me but still hadn't put his blues on, so i was curious. I pulled into the engineering building parking lot to where my class was, parked, and he just kept going, so that was another sight of relief.

Then, this morning, i decided to drive the 3000 instead of the jeep because i need to put miles on it since i'm still on break in period for new parts and its supposed to rain all weekened. I got on the interstate following a stang GT who already gave me a look earlier, but of course i had no intentions to race him, even if he picked it, because it would be just a waste of my gas if i decided to go. Well, normally down the interstate i'll do speed limit, because in the jeep, wind noise becomes a pain when you start going past 70. Well, i accelerated to pass the 'stang and started going 85 and he started tailing me, i guess he expected me to start something with him. Well, as i'm cruising at 85, in the corner of my eye, i see a car pull up even with me and then just slam on his brakes, but it first looked like someone else wanted to try and race me. Then, i look up above on the overpass i'm about to go under, and there he is, the state trooper taking radar on top and radioing it down below to the other officers who were pulling people over. I'm now doing 65 mph being scared to death i was doomed. I saw a couple already pulled over, and i was sure that i was next as i saw a cop come up from behind, but he got behind someone else and pulled them over, and no one ever came up behind me as i took my exit off the interstate.

I dont know HOW i got past that one, either it was there was another car moving faster than me, or he didnt get me on radar because a black car doesnt stand out as much, or my best friend knowing all the cops in the city told them all to leave me alone, or the cop radio'd down to pull over a 3000GT and with my rear bading saying GTO, they got confused. If thats teh case, my GTO badging was worth every cent and second.

Anyways, just thought i'd share how lucky i've been the past couple months and that someone must be watching over me from above.

I have been DAMN LUCKY. I was playing one day and took the car up to 120 when all of a sudden I see a cop on the other side. I looked in the rear view and he never even attempted to turn around. Thats just one of my luck stories.
