i first would like to start off by apologizing for this off-topic thread. i posted it in a new thread so everyone could see it. there was a little argument going on in the car comparison's forum and i think this car prevailed at the top. i stole the link from neutrino, sorry.

hows 242+ mph for a top speed and 0-62mph at 3.2 seconds sound for a manufactured production car??? i will let you guys read it yourself. its one sick puppy.

Hell K3 I though you were driving one better than that. Maybe missing 500HP but a better car. How does over 250+MPH and 0-62 in under 3 seconds sound? This is the champion my friend. And you know who builds it?

Gosh I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there going through US custom's as you read this. One of the owners of Microsoft and 3 other guys (excluding me) are waiting for there release. There is suppost to be like 50 American's that have ordered them. They wouldn't accept my $100 down payment and $100 a month lease plan nore would they accept my 12 month test drive plan.

And Freak your right, the Koenigsegg is a great car. I'd take one anyday, but they lost the title but you can bet anything you want it's not over yet.

In the real world, this 736kW and 1250Nm combines with the 7-speed, all-wheel drive transmission and a 1600kg kerb weight to propel the Bugatti Veyron to 100km/h from rest in 2.9 seconds. That's very quick.

If that isn't enough, the four-wheel drive chunk of exotica will hit 300km/h in 14.0 seconds flat and can cruise at 400km/h with ease. The car is electronically limited to 400km/h (248 mph), though if de-restricted the 8.0-litre coupe would be capable of at least 450km/h, perhaps more if the final-drive ratio and fuel-injection mapping was tweeked.

as fast as it is... i can truthfully say that i don't think i'd drive that car.... i can not stand the look of it... looks like some sort of beefed up rolls royce bred with a space ship... also, that 2 tone paint job is just straight up tacky... the koenigsegg however is a very beautiful car, styled with passion and the sleek almost classic look of speed... very very beautiful

I have to agree with you, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The paint job I can deal with, but it well take some getting use to for the looks of the car. It was designed for aerodynamics, not looks.

Now you ready for this? Here we go, the Bugatti engine is 2 V8's siamised togather making it a 4 bank of 4 cylinders with 1001 HP. What if Nissan took 2 VG30DETT and did the same thing. In a stage 4-5 tune you'd have 1,200+HP in a streetable car, or if we really wanted to go over kill siamise 2 VK45DE engines and have a 2,000+ HP killer that would raise the bar even higher. Now something like that in a G35 coupe would be much cheaper and with the right suspension and tires, would place the bar so high it would take some real engineering to surpass, but interresting, plus a much better looking car.

i agree with delerious and karen. one thing that pisses me off with the bugatti, and even the chrysler supercar, is that they have to use FOUR turbos to go that fast. it annoys me all to living hell. four turbos to get .4-.5 seconds (in 1/4 mile) faster than the enzo, which has a non-turbo v-12? pretty sad if you ask me.

Travis fast it is, but if you were a Bugatti fan as you are a Zed fan you'd probabilly think differently. The Bugatti fans have waited along time for a new modern car. As for the Koenigsegg it looks much like a Lamborghini. but on steriods. In doing some research found that the Zed32 and the Koenigsegg have the same Drag Coefficient of .29, where as the Bugatti has a DC of .21 which tells me it was designed for less drag and not looks, which kinda fits Bugatti's theme.
Myself for the money, I'd perfer a complete line of Z's starting with the 240Z to the present 350. More my cup of tea, and to my liking. Thank God we have choices and don't have to park something in our driveways we don't like. If you think it's ugly the earlier ones are really ugly. And that paint

I saw that koenigsegg on top gear, you can download it from any P2P program. That Bugatti might be quicker but the sweedish car is sweet!

Fact is the Bugatti isn't a pretty car like the Zed. But then I was married to a pretty woman once, she wasn't worth a shit, what ever that means.

well...ill tell you one thing. they could have picked a better color than that puke green.

BTW: i just read that the koenigsegg has 20" x 12.5" rear wheels. has that for big ballin'? and how would you like to kneel down and see 335mm wide tires wrapped around those wheels. how would you like to replace those tires? that car better come with a 50% discount on replacement tires for a life time if i was too pay that kind of money for a car.

I think the color is closer to gangrene or puss green than puke green, what ever it is I too think I could have come up with a better color.

But K3 you'll have to trust me on this one, the day you have and own one of these cars you won't even give the price of the tires a second though. In fact you might even be looking me up to help you find some tires that are better rated for high speed, as the ones on you car make you alittle nervous driving 245MPH. And when you get it, please don't get one thats gangrene.

I have to add this so we keep this somewhat on the Zed theme.
