Just bought a 2002 Windstar sport. I was wandering how many miles I should expect to get to a tank of fuel? My neighbor says he get around 650 miles with a 98 Montana ext.

I average about 22-23mpg's with my 2001 LX. My "low fuel light" usually comes on around 475miles. With the needle bottomed out, it will *only* take 21gal before fuel burps out the filler. Overall, I'm really happy with the MPG's given this van's size, weight & versitility.
G/luck Joel

How many miles do you have left when the low fuel light is first lit?

Re: Expected Mileage
We get 18.5 MPG in the winter, and 20.5 in the summer, ALL in-town driving basically. That's a '98 WS 3.0L (thank God), with about 98,000 miles on it.

Re: Expected Mileage
My '96 windstar has a 20 gallon tank.
A 25 gallon tank was "optional". Point being, there are 2 size tanks that I am aware of... |
