which brand of tie rod and tension rod

which brand would you guys choose for ball bearing tension rods and tie rods?

i'm looking at Tein and JIC, right now

my friend has the tein ones and they seem quite nice, i think that they would be similar, well just as good as each other

they are both good brands so i just wnat to know your opinions

and on a similiar note suspension which is better performance struts/spring or coilovers

You don't add them, you replace them to better ones that don't snap when you're doing your sidewayz thang.

Re: which brand of tie rod and tension rod

They Put the car in tension and then tie it together?

The Tension Rod Is "half" of the lower controll arm, you replace it with a Stronger Heim Jointed Rod because the stock bushing is ass and causes the Wheel to wobble while driving hard (seeing videos of how much is crazy)

The Tie Rods "tie" the steering rack to the Hub. Most people replace these with longer / stronger ones to get more steering angle some tie rod ends (kazama / Supernow) allow you adjust bumpsteer too.

Re: which brand of tie rod and tension rod

I'd get tension rods first. They really affect the steering feel because unless your car just came off the showroom floor and have very very little miles on it, the bushing is probably dead. Tie rods give you more steering angle if you add the spacer and they're stronger, they don't affect the way the steering feels as much.

Re: which brand of tie rod and tension rod

AWDSR20 is right...you give up compliancy for care needed driving...if you are running heim joints don't hit a curb

I have the SPLParts tension rods, quality units at a great price. I have Moog inner rods and kazama outers. The Kazama got my tie rods back to parallel once I dropped my car a little and allow me to make U-turns at a median right into the far left lane
