supercharger oil
I took my car to the Pontiac dealer today and wanted my supercharger oil changed and they told me they don't recommend doing that unless you're changing the supercharger all together. Does that sound right because the book says to change it everu 30,000 miles...

I've heard of dealership mechanics saying that but I'm following the owners manual. I'd bet that if your supercharger failed due to lack of lubrication they wouldn't honor your warranty.

Re: supercharger oil
Called dealer not too long ago. Asked for price. Said $50.00. Felt, that's cool. Don't want to get my hands dirty.

Re: supercharger oil
Are you moving to Key West? You live in MO and I live in FL. And you want me to come down? Cass I thought you could talk the St. Louis Club into coming down here to do some racing in Jan. It will be in the upper 60 to 70. And NO RAIN.

Re: supercharger oil
You should definitely change your S/C oil every 30,000 mi or 36 months. It's a 10 min job tops. Use an old hand soap pump (rinsed out) and suck out as much old oil as you can. For the love of god, don't get any of the used oil on your hands! Refill with approx 8 oz (2 bottles) of new GM S/C oil (part #12345982). Fill until you see oil at the base of the filler hole threads and seal her back up.

Re: supercharger oil
Find it's faster and less mess. Use a waterbed pump. Pump right into old milk jug. Or if your a redneck, right on the ground.

Re: supercharger oil
I bought an empty spray bottle (like a window cleaner size) for .89 and put a piece of vacuum hose on the end (another .50 if you cant find a piece hanging around at your local parts store) and sprayed it right into the empty bottle. Real simple cost $11 including two bottles of oil from GM.

No. You can get it at any GM dealer or order from www.pfyc.com.
