92 Safari AWD Driver side corner drooping
I Have a 1992 GMC Safari XT AWD with the 4.3 Vortec motor. The problem is when I was driving it something snapped at the front driver side and the van dropped maybe 3-5", I don't know the exact measurements but the tire was rubbing when I steered the wheel. I thought the problem was the shocks so I replaced that and still I have the problem. I took a goood look at the van again and I still can't see anything broken or find the problem. Your help is much appreciatied
PS:It's weird, when I jack up the opposite(passenger side) rear wheel the front driver side (the one's that's broken) raises up to about normal. |

you have the very common, very $$$$$$$$$ BUSTED torsion bar.
you have to replace both, as there is a new design. $$$$$. I hope your not driving it?? the shocks do nothing to help that, but at least you have new shocks ![]() in fact my 95 came from the factory with a missing shock. |
