Roof Cargo rack for Denali

Anybody have any recommendations? Looking for a nice unit to carry suitcases and other items. NOT looking for the long, low profile, hard plastic, bullet units.

Thanks in advance

Re: Roof Cargo rack for Denali

I'd recommend a visit to www.sportrack.com. They offer a number of options. You'll probably want to consider replacing the cross bars at the same time. I can't remember the load rating, but the factory ones aren't capable of carrying much weight. Yakima would be my first choice there, and I believe SportRack carries them.

Take care,
Jerry

Re: Roof Cargo rack for Denali

Thanks Vrooom2,
I did my search and purchased the BVG roof cargo rack. I will probably only have 50-75 lbs on top. Just trying to move the riff raff out from the inside like wet and snowy snow sleds, wet clothes etc.

Why you want to put anything on top of a DENALI?
Just go to Wal-Mart, get a cargo carrier, a plastic crate, and mount it on your trailer hitch. Apprx cost less then $100.00. You dont have to worry about getting a ladder or falling and scratching your SUV.
