Replace wheel hubs?
I'm assuming I need to replace the front wheel hubs as it sounds like the bearings are failing. Just did a front brake job and when everything was off I spun the hub and noticed a clicking sound. Correct diagnosis?

2000, 4.3l v6, 5spd, 2 wheel drive, 94K miles. Loud enough to hear without having to pay attention to it. Can feel the click in the lug when spinning it.

Re: Replace wheel hubs?
Ahhh 2WD........... most likely the bearings yes. But you do not have to replace the entire hub , the bearings are removable.

Are you sure they are serviceable? Everything I've read so far says they are sealed units and the whole hub needs repalcing. I would certainly like not to spend $400. I know the rear can be serviced. Thanks.

Re: Replace wheel hubs?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think you might be looking at the 4x4 bearing listing. The older 2 wheel drives were just bearings, not the whole hub assembly. Not sure about the new ones though.
