Attention to all of you with impact bars!

Do not make the same mistake that I did! DO NOT REMOVE YOUR FRONT OR REAR IMPACT BARS!!!! Yes they aid in weigt reduction but you will pay the price if you get into an accident. I got advice from someone around here about them and ignored it. I took out my front one and My car got VERY fucked up. Please do not ignore this advice. i just finished fixing and putting my car back together after the accident. If I had it in, i probably wouldnt have had to buy another radiator, tkae out my air conditioning, would still have a good frame, and wouldnt have had to fix all this shit. the hit wasnt that hard and I still took a shitload of damage. This guy with a crx gave me advice and i didnt take it and alot of damage was dealt.

Ya, I don't intend in ever taking mine off - I had to cut a couple of the corners off to get my bumper to fit, but other than that I'm leaving it on. I got in an accident a couple months ago - rearended a lady going like 5-10mph. The only damage was to my bumper cause it got mashed between my impact beam and her rear bumper. Easily fixed. Glad I had it or I most likely would have had way more damage done.

yeah but even small accidents can leave your car totaled.

liek on my dads tacoma, soem drunk driver pulled in front of him, he hit him, the air bags didnt even go off, my dad said it wasnt a hard impact but my dads tacoma was totaled and so was the f150 the other drunk guy was driving.

I have my front one off,
but never intended to hit anyone,
I couldn't get my front airdam to fit without the front metal bumper to come off,
o'well!
my car shouldnt touch anything but the tires on the road!
also, I heard that if you have a good enough impact bar ITS BAD!
because if you were hiting someone at a good 70 mph it would bounce you across the street,braking everyones neck!
but then again,if you didnt have one & hit someone at 70,it would crash everybody on impact,

but at least you wouldnt feel it!

thats so ignorant, did u see the damage done to my car? I had alot of confidence and always said i wouldnt get into an accident that was my fault and look what happened. No I wasnt hurt, but my car took tons of damage. Put it back in and cut it like 4G4D Store did, believe me its worth it.
