cuz some of the mods like are pretty dumb on the things they ask and say y not make the mods older ppl that have some knowledge of the cars they mod over

were you referring to me? because i have reasons on why i ask certain questions, not that i owe you an explanation, but do you know what makes a mod? and i'm 23, how old are you?

assuming you were talking about my question on how much turbo's cost the cheapest i know of is $599.00 i was wondering if anyone had a cheaper price.
or maybe the struts, i was debating on stock suspension or tien, might you know why i was debating between the two.

or maybe it was the 13g turbo's from an eclipse, did you think it was a stupid question, if so tell me the answer and how to do it.

no i wasnt talking about u.i was just saying in general.im rarely on this board anyways i just stop in when someone tells me a mod made a stupid post.i dunno who but someone made one saying stock vr4 shocks are like 1800 bucks or something like that. so i thought to ask if ur a mod and such y make stupid posts i mean yea some are ok like comparing something or this and that but doin that about shocks doesnt seem right

GreekPower, i'm all about things Greek (mostly ancient of course), but you've brought up a feasible though unreasonable query. Fine, go ahead and judge posts made by moderators. Their purpose here is to give order to the forums, not necessarily to be car experts.

And you're rarely on this board...so why not just hang out over at 3Si? and you made it seem like the ONLY time you visit this board is when you hear (hearsay obviously) that a moderator made a 'stupid' post. That seems kinda stupid in and of itself to only visit a board just to see a stupid post a moderator made.

I think i have a fairly decent knowledge about cars, esp the 3000GT, but only have around 200 posts. I only post when i have something beneficial to say, but that's just me. Others are different, and post a lot, almost like a conversation (not implying that its not beneficial). and people are different.

now to your proposed 'stupid' post about shocks/struts being $1800, YA, i can see that. Coming from a dealership (STEALership) i can see how they would charge that. Obviously you can get them cheaper from aftermarket companies. I was quoted a price of $52 per 3rd gen vavle lifter, which would come out to around $1200 for a set of 24 3rd gen lifters!!! INSANE! and from the dealership. Of course, aftermarket companies such as 3sxperformance and Dynamic Racing sell a set of 24 for 400 and 300 respectively.

So before you go criticising posts made by moderators, think for one second that maybe they didn't do oodles and oodles of research and shopping for the best deal before they made a post.
