it depends on your type of racin, whether its drift,grip or basic racing you'll have to use your skills either on a rwd,fwd, or awd. Main factors since rwd is more used for drifting and front for grip racing.

the RX-8 is like the Teg from Ver. 2, so yeah, choose a car you like, not a car thats over rated, but this advice is only to those who jus play, but get the Evos, Subs and RX-8s if you wanna race other people. I chose the Sky R34 bcuz i like the car, but its all up to how good the driver is.

i think the FD is a great beginners car, medium handling, good top speeds, and can be opted to be a top contender too.
Its not the first car i started with, but is the one im currently driving and breaking records with. I started with an FC, which has better acceleration is shifted properly, but has a slower top speed. But it handles a bit looser, just a tad tighter than an AE86.

well its up becuz every car handles differently like the rx8 understeers at some stages so if u can get over that then ur good to go... i dunno though i like the 86 cuz its easy to control it never really understeers if ur doing the turns rite but yeah... all up to u...

Its safe to say that every car has its ups and downs in the game . So if you are asking what is a good all-round car i would have to say the Evo 4 hands down. On akina and akagi it maybe slow and it doesnt have highend, but it can still destroy the non-elites.
