New Guy needs info.

I am new to this forum and it sounds like all you good folk now what you are talking about. So my question is what kind of gas milage should I be getting on my 1999 Wrangler tj. It has autotrans with a 2.5 eng. This vehicle is new to me and is in good shape overall.
Thanks in advance,
Joe

Re: New Guy needs info.

I've heard various, but usually for manual trans. I had the 2.5 in my 97, got 17mpg, whether on highway or in 4Lo on the beach. There's a couple of discussions I've read that made me think the O2 sensor should have been replaced.

So look for 18mpg or better I'd think, for the auto trans.
