Just when we thought America couldn't get any fatter...

Hardee's decides to up the anti. Behold! The Monster burger!

EDIT: New pic

"Like other Hardee's burgers, the Monster Thickburger features 100 percent Angus beef patties. In this case, it's got not one, but two 1/3-lb. charbroiled patties, topped with no less than four strips of bacon, three slices of American cheese, and some mayonnaise -- all on a buttered, toasted, sesame seed bun."

That is disgusting. Not to say that giant burgers are disgusting but there is a line between normal, disgusting and too big that it's gotta be great.

mmmmm I love big hamburgers.

If you feel too fat, you have shoes and a road. Run it off.

Re: Just when we thought America couldn't get any fatter...

I'm sure this burger will wet the appetiates of many. I know I would at least try it but the problem is that americans rely on fast food these days for lunch and/or dinner. Hell, about 60% of the american population is obese. Not fat or overweight but f'ing obese. Do you think these people work out?

Fast food chains are part of the problem. Its not really their fault, its the persons. Who could turn down great tasting food at low prices? Why cook when you can eat out. Your food will be ready in 5 minutes. Not enough? Want more? Super/King/Biggie size it! Eat up you fat bastards.

Actually, it's more along the lines of 20%. Not that that's exceptable but your numbers are way the hell off.

I dunno about that. I know I was reading months back that the number was 60% and rising. I'll do some research and find out what the media is coming up with.

EDIT:

Ok, I did some reading and I did get my facts confused. Over 60% of americans are overweight and more than 30% are obese.

Re: Just when we thought America couldn't get any fatter...

Look around you america and realize that 6 out of every 10 people in this country is obese....amazing.... Yeah right, 60% of Americans are not obese, that would mean about 150,000,000 people in this country are...and i doubt those numbers.

Yea, it's all the fast food restaurants fault for making everyone fat. Okay, so maybe they're partly responsible but very very little. People control their own lifestyles and it's always someone elses fault.

Anyways, that looks pretty damn good. A little too much for me, but it still looks good.

I'm not saying that the fast food industry is completely at fault but they're not helping. I did say its the persons fault. There are other factors to american obesity, not just eating the wrong foods but lack of exercise is also a big problem. So along with partly blaming fast food chains, we can also blame computers. How many of us work at a computer? How many hours a day do you spend sitting at a computer during your work week. I know I spend about 10 hours a day, four days a week sitting in front of a computer doing work.
