wanted: facts about gts/diamante plenum
i was researching info on the gts/diamante intake for gains on my gt and found that the gains were only worth it if i gained the controls of the variable length runners on the inside. i found that they are controlled by a solonoid run by the ecu. i figure with an rpm switch i can produce the signal it needs but was curious if the runners are actually switched using an internal solonoid or if the solonoid just controlled an internal vaccumm inside the plenum. any facts anyone? thanks

Re: wanted: facts about gts/diamante plenum
i guess it's controlled by an inner vaccuum by an external solonoid. i guess having to get the intake, wire the switch, get the solonoid, and run lines isn't worth the 5-7 whp it produces. maybe in the future if i go fi. . . .
