k20a2 engine swap

I got a 94 lude and its got a h22a1 engine in itand i have heard that its a bitch to turbo and add a lot of mods to so i was wondering if anyone has heard if its any easier to mod up a new k20a2? i know it comes with about 200hp but i havent heard anything about its potential.

Swapping a K20 into a lude will make it slower. Although they produce the same HP as an H22, they're lacking in torque.

Re: k20a2 engine swap

w/ everything ive heard about the engine it takes bolt ons pretty well. More power gained from bolt ons on k20 than h22. But still i wouldnt know why you would want to put one in your lude

Re: k20a2 engine swap

Its a sweet engine, make sure you slap the 6 speed in there too! I am a fanatic for k-series engines! Your car would definately be one of a kind. One good think about the k-series engines is with the flash programmable ecu they are crazy tunable, get k-pro and youll love it. If your serious the guys at http://www.hybrid-racing.com/ might be able to help you out.

the k series may have more tunability, but you will be starting with less torque so you will have to mad it some just to get back to where you started with the h22...... and by the time you get the motor in and running right you will have spent a fortune that would of made the h22 alot faster............

The k20 is truly a beast, but there are better applications for it than a Prelude.
