Random Start

Hi 93 Areostar 98% of the time van starts no prob. Every once in awhile at random times it will crank and crank and crank but not start. you can smell the gas, the motor is moving battery is good. It just won't turn over. you leave it alone for a few hours go back to it, try to start it it does the same thing. If you push the gas down this time or pump it it coughs and chokes and sputters to a very rough start. give the gas a few good pushes and its fine until the next random non start. It has the 3.0L and 127,000k

Did you try and tune up the ignition? If so did it work, as I'm having the same problem as you.
