Differance between 93 V6 and 94 V6?

Can someone decribe the differances between the 92-93 V6 and the 94-96 Aluminum V6? Why the change? Are there advantages? Please be as technical as possible. Thanks.

Im pretty sure the 94 - 96 has three more H.P. than the steel blocked 92 - 93 engines. Other than that I have no idea. sorry
